We have received a generous donation of liver in the past few weeks and I know it can be scary to try new things. But I want to tell you that once you try liver and onions you will be hooked!!! I encourage you to give this a try.
- Wash liver and pat dry on a paper towel
- Saute onions in olive oil until transparent
- Remove onions from pan, leaving the oil in the pan
- Put some flour along with salt and pepper into a zip lock bag and toss the liver in the bag
- Place the liver into the fry pan that the onions cooked in. You may need to add a couple extra tablespoons of oil if needed
- Cook on medium to low heat for 3-4 minutes
- Turn liver over and put the onions on top of the meat
- Cover and cook for another 3-5 minutes and serve.
