GROCERY DISTRIBUTION DAYS

The food pantry is open to residents of Southwest Michigan. To manage traffic and lining up cars on distribution days, residents from Portage, Vicksburg, Schoolcraft, and Three Rivers are served the first two hours of each distribution day. Residents from surrounding communities may line up to pick up groceries beginning at 4:15 pm for Friday distributions and 11:45 am for Saturday distributions. Please do not arrive late; we are unable to serve clients after the end times stated below.

 

The parking lot opens one hour prior to the grocery distribution start times listed below. LINEUP PROCEDURE
Please note that it is not necessary to come early to lineup. We plan distribution so that families receive the about same amount of groceries no matter what time they come through the line.

FRIDAY HOURS

2:30 to 4:30 p.m.          for Portage, Vicksburg, Schoolcraft, Three Rivers
4:15 to 5:15 p.m.          Rest of Kalamazoo County

 

SATURDAY HOURS

10 a.m. to 12 p.m.      for Portage, Vicksburg, Schoolcraft, Three Rivers
11:45 to 12:45 p.m.     Rest of Kalamazoo County

 

  • ONE family per household address; multiple families in one household must register under one name, only.
  • Household may pick up groceries two times each month on the distribution days of their choice (5th Friday perishable distribution does not count).
  • Service is limited to TWO recipients/families per vehicle from different households.
  • Drive-thru process. Come with an empty trunk and stay in your vehicle at all times. LINEUP PROCEDURE

5th Fridays

On months with a 5th Friday, we offer a perishables-only distribution open to anyone on the 5th Friday.
1 to 2 p.m., perishables only (produce, bread, baked goods)
5th Friday distribution does not count toward the twice monthly grocery distribution days allowed. CALENDAR

Tuesday every week!
1 to 4 pm
Free fruits, veggies, bread and bakery items. Open to everyone. Bring a bag!
What we’ll have available is dependent on donations from our local stores and restaurants.

senior basket distribution–3rd Tuesday monthly

Twelve Baskets Food Pantry has partnered with the Kalamazoo County Area Agency on Aging to provide a once monthly supplemental grocery distribution for seniors 60 and older who are homebound!

  • Third Tuesday monthly, 1-4 pm; see Calendar for dates.
  • Eligibility–Kalamazoo County homebound senior citizens ages 60 and older.
  • Food is delivered to eligible seniors
  • One box of supplemental proteins, snacks, soups, single-serve oatmeal etc.
  • One box of Fresh Market perishables
