Cinnamon Rolls

Cinnamon Rolls

A favorite breakfast treat for people everywhere!

 

  • 4 cups scaled whole milk
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 packs active dry yeast (.25 ounce)
  • 8 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • Plenty of melted butter
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • Lots of cinnamon

Mix milk, oil, and sugar in a pan till just before boiling. Turn off heat and let cool for 45 minutes. When mixture is warm, sprinkle yeast over top and let sit for another minute so the yeast gets warm. Then, add 1 cup of flour, the baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Stir together. Sprinkle counter with flour. Roll out the dough mixture onto the counter. Pour melted butter all over the mixture evenly. Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon all over and roll up into a log. Pinch the ends. Cut with a sharp knife and place in pans. Let rise for 20-30 minutes in pans. Bake at 400 degrees for 15-18 minutes.
