Twelve Baskets is a volunteer-run food pantry with a Free Store in Portage, Michigan serving more than 450 families a week. We are always in need of volunteers to help us with daily food deliveries, sorting and shelving donations, preparing for our weekly food distributions, on distribution days and running the store. We offer a broad range of volunteer opportunities (listed below) and flexibility to fit your schedule. Joining the volunteer team at Twelve Baskets is a very rewarding experience! PANTRY volunteers

DAILY

The Pantry is open from 9 a.m. to noon Monday to Friday to accept and store food donations; volunteers are needed every weekday. Types of work include:

• Driving trucks to pickup donations
• Unloading trucks
• Sorting fresh produce and groceries for storage
• Shelving and bagging non-perishables
• Packaging items for distribution
• Assisting with fundraisers and promotion
• Building and grounds upkeep/maintenance

10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

1 to 2 p.m., perishables only (produce, bread, baked goods)
