We received the fantastic news from Meijer on Shaver earlier this month that Twelve Baskets will continue to be the recipient of the Simply Give program through June 27!! That is a 13-week extension of the current campaign that began on December 28!
For more than 10 years, Meijer on Shaver Rd has been a very generous business partner/supporter of Twelve Baskets. We have been the recipient of Simply Give campaigns multiple times, that net the pantry about $25,000 in gift cards we can use to purchase food to restock our shelves.
Saturday, March 21, is the second double match day of the current campaign! For every $10 Simply Give card purchased on Saturday, Meijer will provide $20, bringing the total contribution for a single customer purchase to $30! Meijer will match up to $5,000 in contributions made to a pantry on Double Match Day, up to $10,000 per pantry/campaign! Let’s get the max!
A single $10 Simply Give card can be used for larger contributions if the total donation is an amount in the increment of 10. For example, to make a $50 contribution, the cashier can scan the card five times or scan it once and then enter a quantity of five in the system for a $50 donation. On Double Match day, that donation would net the pantry $150 in food gift cards!
Please join us in saying Thank You to Meijer for more than a decade of support to Twelve Baskets Food Pantry and Community Store! We also greatly appreciate working with Amanda Ross and Sallie Crumbacher anytime we need Meijer support!
